Most people consume true crime like entertainment.
Podcasts. Netflix documentaries. Reddit theories. TikTok breakdowns from people who’ve never worked a case in their life.
But when you’ve spent years obsessed with investigations, missing persons, homicide cases, and unsolved mysteries, eventually you hit a wall.
You realize you still don’t actually know what’s happening inside the crime scene tape.
How officers think.
How detectives build a case.
What matters.
What doesn’t.
Why some cases collapse.
Why others get solved in 48 hours.
That’s what this academy is for.
Over 9 weeks, HSTC Investigations Academy teaches civilians how real investigations actually work using real case evidence, body cam footage, detective methodology, and active case analysis so you can intelligently break down missing persons, homicide, and cold cases like an insider instead of a spectator.
This is not fantasy roleplay.
This is investigative thinking.
Inside the academy, you’ll work through investigations the way law enforcement actually experiences them.
You’ll review real body worn camera footage and write police reports from the responding officer’s perspective, so you learn how officers observe, document, and articulate incidents under pressure.
You’ll learn the different roles inside an investigation, so you understand what patrol officers, detectives, dispatchers, and supervisors are actually responsible for during each stage of a case.
You’ll work through full case progressions from first response through warrants, interviews, evidence collection, and case development, so you finally understand how investigations evolve behind the scenes instead of only seeing headlines after the fact.
You’ll train your investigative mindset using real detective methodology, so you stop reacting emotionally to cases and start analyzing behavior, timelines, contradictions, evidence, and decision-making like law enforcement does.
You’ll move through staged investigative assignments and progressive ranking scenarios, so your confidence grows as the complexity of the cases increases.
And for Founding Investigators, you’ll get access to exclusive VIP Bullpen Sessions alongside retired detective Christine Burke reviewing real investigations, investigative failures, body cam footage, and active case analysis.
The first big shift usually happens fast.
People stop watching cases like consumers and start seeing the patterns investigators see.
The way statements change.
The details that matter.
The mistakes investigators make.
The gaps nobody else notices.
That’s when this gets addictive.
Because once you understand how investigations actually work, you can’t unsee it.
And if you eventually want to move into advanced forensic genetic genealogy, this academy gives you the foundation first.
You’re learning how investigators think before learning the advanced tools they use.
A bit about your instructor.
Christine Burke has over 25 years of law enforcement and investigative experience as a police detective, sergeant, PI, bounty hunter, and active cold case investigator.
She was the first female sergeant in her department, has operated her own PI agency for 18 years, created one of the first law-enforcement-taught forensic genetic genealogy training programs for police, and has solved cold cases in as little as 48 hours.
She’s also been featured across television and true crime media, including her own ID Discovery television show.
This isn’t theory from the sidelines.
This is coming from someone who’s actually worked the cases.
Founding Investigator Enrollment:
$997 pay in full or use Klarna, Afterpay, or Amazon Pay
Founding members also receive VIP Bullpen Session access and locked-in founding pricing before rates increase.

Go through the academy and do the work.
If within the first 30 days you genuinely feel the training isn’t delivering practical investigative insight you can apply to real cases, reach out and we’ll make it right.
If you’re the kind of person who’s always wanted to understand what really happens inside investigations instead of standing outside the tape guessing…
You’ll probably love this.
